Eran las 4 y algo de la mañana cuando por la ventana del quinto piso del departamento vi que el cielo se veía extraño. Nunca dejamos las persianas abiertas, pero esa noche yo las quise dejar porque me gusta ver cuando va amaneciendo.
Me asomé para ver porqué el cielo estaba reflejando más luz de lo normal y para mi sorpresa vi que todo se había cubierto de blanco. A esa hora me levanté como niña pequeña y saqué a Daniel afuera para que yo pudiera jugar con esa cantidad de nieve.
Anteriormente me había tocado ver en Dublin nieve, pero nunca como esta vez, y menos que estuviera nevando mientras estuviera afuera. Así que nos pusimos nuestros abrigos, guantes, bufandas y salimos al frío. Yo fascinada con la nieve me puse a sacar la lengua, hacer bolas de nieve y hasta un pequeño Olaf ⛄ 😁 .
El pobre de Daniel tenía una cara de sueño, pero aún así me subseguía en mis niñerías, yo le quería tomar foto a todo, porque el efecto del blanco sobre los objetos inanimados los hacía ver diferentes a como estoy acostumbrada a verlos.
Quizá es una tontería escribir sobre esto de ver nevar, pero siendo sincera hay muchas más cosas que una persona puede hacer por primera vez a parte de las más comunes -como el sexo, las drogas o tu primer cigarro- pequeñas cosas que te regresan a lo básico y te sientes agradecida por permitirte estar en ese momento, en ese lugar y en ese tiempo.
